Running through May 9, the festival features pioneer artisans, demonstrations, traditional entertainment and folk music, old-fashioned games like sack racing, tug of war and horseshoes, and frontier-style food like kettle corn and swamp cabbage. Hands-on activities will include candle-dipping, rug braiding, artifact rubs, journaling and kite making. "Still Friends" will put on "SteveFest II," a bluegrass and folk festival from 2-10 PM, Saturday, May 9th at the Amphitheatre at Bayshore Park in conjunction with Frontier Days. SteveFest honors the memory of Stephen Blackwell, local singer-songwriter, Charlotte High School teacher, and leader of group "Steven Blackwell and Friends." Admission for the festival is $3 for adults and $2 for children ages 12 and younger. Admission to Stevefest is $10, or $7 with admission to the festival.
