More on the Google Survey -- From City Councilman Larry Friedman

There has been some confusion with the link to the survey regarding higher speed access via Google in Charlotte County.  I received the following message prepared by Larrry Friedman this morning that clarifies how to get to and respond to this important survey for Charlotte County residents and businesses:

"You may have read of Charlotte County's interest in selection as a test site for Google's new "Ultra High Speed Internet". If successful, it would be a great boon to both the County and Punta Gorda; the infrastructure would be cost free and citizens and businesses would have Internet access at speeds at least ten times that available today. Google will purportedly choose test sites as a function of local interest and response. Accordingly, you are encouraged to fill out a brief "survey", to be found at:

If clicking the above link results in a "survey is closed" message, please copy and paste this address in your browser in order to gain access to the survey. I've already done so, and can assure you that it will only take a few minutes. If you are a resident, and have a business, kindly fill out two surveys, one for each. The potential "reward" makes this an outstanding investment of your time."
