Your Punta Gorda Weekend -- Seafood Festival, Motown, Elks Weekend and More

It's another Punta Gorda weekend full of entertaining choices.  The Elks of Punta Gorda is open to the public with the Yard Dogs on call Friday, Jim Morris on Saturday, and a Celtic Festival Sunday.   At the Event Center Friday, you can hear some Motown from former members of the Supremes and other Doo-wop groups at the Golden Memories concert.  And at Laishley Park, the Seafood Festival is back Saturday and Sunday.  On Sunday, at the Punta Gorda Women's Club, there will be a  St. Patrick's Day Celebration and Dance.  

And the local clubs and venues continue to provide a plethora of musical entertainment:


Friday Night, March 11

At Fishermen's Village Center Stage: Swing/Big Band music presented by The Top Hats, 5-9 pm.
At Harpoon Harry's  They're back. The Boogiemen with their awesome sound…from 9 p.m.
At Tapas One Singer/Songwriter Michael Hirst is strumming from 6 p.m.
At Closer to the Vine (on Sullivan) Beth Marshall performs from 7-10 p.m.
At Biehl's Slip-Not: Chicago Mob  performs from 8 p.m.
At the Punta Elks: Open to the public weekend with Yard Dogs from 4-8 p.m.
At Jack's it's Carribean Night... One Love Duo... 6-9 p.m.
At Dean's  Gotta Luv It 


Saturday Night, March 12

At Fishermen's Village Center Stage: Christian/contemporary singer/songwriter Joshua Price performs 5-9 pm.
At Closer to the Vine (on Sullivan)  Ira Wilkes, a local Jazz guitarist from 7-10pm.
At Biehl's Slip-Not: The Crashers performs from 8 p.m.
At Harpoon Harry's   They're back: The Boogiemen with their awesome sound…from 9 p.m.
At the Punta Gorda Elks: Jim Morris Concert
At Dean's Midlife Cryslers
