Punta Gorda Lines the Streets and The 33rd Annual Christmas Parade Passes By



Saturday Punta Gorda came alive with the sounds of marching bands and Christmas songs, and floats decorated with a red, white and blue theme made on top of boats, cars, flat-bed trucks, a rolling pirate ship and more flowed from the highschool then down Taylor Avenue into the downtown as hundreds watched on.  There were dancers, cowboys on horses, the Mayor and City Council, several of the County Commissioners, school kids and Conquistidors all decked out and waving to the crowds.

You'll note from the video above that it was a windy day... but none the less glorious and perfect for the parade, even when you had a blown up kangaroo on your car roof.  But pictures tell the story better so below are highlights in photos:
