Avast! Pirates in Town This Punta Gorda Weekend and more

Pirates in town this weekend and me thinks you better get one of them stuffed parrots and swagger downtown adorned. with it, a bandana and patches and the like.  The 6th Annual Pirate Fest has arrived and kicks off tonight with a Ball at the Event Center -- $35 at the door with  finger foods, cash bar and entertainment from Celtic Mayhem and the Bawdy Boys.  The Swashbuckler ball starts at 8 p.m.  The three day event continues at Fishermen's Village throughout the weekend.  Arrr.
