City Manager Howard Kunik announced today that Thomas Lewis is the best choice for the Punta Gorda Police Department to continue to produce positive results in our community, formally naming him as the permanent Police Chief of the City of Punta Gorda. Thomas Lewis has served in this position as the Interim Chief of Police since the retirement of Albert “Butch” Arenal in September of 2015. City Manager Kunik referenced this performance, citing the dedication to community involvement demonstrated by Chief Lewis. |
