Sky View Restaurant at Charlotte Country Airport, Punta Gorda. (941637-6004) Breakfast, Lunch, Friday Night Dinner.
For a change of pace, this restaurant at Charlotte County Airport is a winner. Dependable eggs and pancakes, french toast which has been coated with Oatmeal (sounds weird, but believe me this is terrific), and they serve in my opinion the best hash browns with scrambled eggs and toast (real rye toast). Friday night fish-fry. Windows to watch the planes come and go.

Smoky’s Smoke House 415 Cooper St., Punta Gorda. (941) 639-2000 Breakfast and Lunch.
Like Brenda's this is the place for good home-cooking especially their sausage and I'm told their biscuits and gravy.

Spazzi Italian Grill 111W. Olympia Ave. (941) 575-9669 Italian.
Great Italian food with attractive, modern Italian-café style atmosphere. Good wood-fired pizza.

MENU

Great pizza and other traditional dishes. Wood-fired oven creates just the right pizza crust--believe me we searched for this one and were surprised and delighted.

Village Fish Market Fisherman’s Village. (941) 639-7959 Seafood.
Recently renovated front section with new bar (back section nearer the harbor still in progress as of 12-1-08). Solidly good and reliable fish sandwiches and platters at reasonable prices.
