Four Points by Sheraton Punta Gorda Opens Its Doors in time for Memorial Day

The Four Points by Sheraton opened its doors yesterday for staying guests.  Although the hotel originally announced that  they were booking guests starting June 4, I learned from front office manager, Kasey Duffey, that the hotel was opening immediately to accommodate guests for the Memorial Day weekend.

Designed for the traveler's comfort, this home-away-from-home-style hotel sports a comfortable lobby bar/ restaurant, living room area, and library with flat screen TVs, casual seating and lab-top computing area with large surface desk space for the road warrior.

"Four Points by Sheraton is a relatively new brand for the Starwood Hotels and Resorts Group" Ms. Duffy told us.  Adding that "the Punta Gorda hotel is the first one that is a totally new structure, built from the ground up."

Located conveniently next to the event center, the hotel with its sleek guest rooms with harbor and marina views is a welcome addition to Punta Gorda.  It adds 106 rooms to the city's  hotel capacity for visitors.   In addition to the comfortable public living spaces and  library, the new Four Points also has a beautiful pool and spa, fitness center, and outdoor seating area in a garden-like setting.
