Despite snowbirds heading north, Punta Gorda is still buzzing with activities this Memorial Day weekend from fashion shows, music, and picnics to memorial services. Southwest Florida Fashion Week

Hillary's Modeling Agency's will present a fashion show as part of Southwest Florida Fashion Week. There is an opportunity to see famous guest designers from New York & Paris and enjoy live entertainment to benefit the Ralph Lauren Cancer Foundation in the research and community education of the disease. The show will feature couture designers, professional and amateur models, as well as Poe Boy recording artists. This event will be filmed for worldwide web casting out of Miami, FL. Military Heritage Museum Memorial Day Ceremony

The Military Heritage Museum is holding a Memorial Day Ceremony, at Center Court at the Village. The keynote speaker will be Colonel Robert M. Dickinson, US Army (retired). Following the ceremony, visitors are invited to enjoy a reception in the Museum. For more information, call 575-9002.
