Edgar Allan Poe Night at Gallery Walk Tonight in Punta Gorda

As part of the "Big Read" Gallery Walk will take on a Edgar Allan Poe theme including a quiz on Poe which can be answered at Punta Gorda''s various downtown merchants to win a Stephen King book.

Included in the Poe commemoration will be performances by the Charlotte Players in 19th century garb, with readings from Poe’s works. The strolling reciters will be located near Ace Hardware, River City Grill, the Courthouse, Presseller's Deli and the Swiss Chocolate Store.

Friends of the Punta Gorda Library will be at Swiss Chocolate as well handing out free bookmarks. Sea Grape Gallery will offer "Poe" Punch. Tiki's will be featuring steel drums by John Patti. And most of the galleries will have a variety of libations and nibbles for your enjoyment along with some Poe or literary-inspired event.

Local authors are signing books at various locations during the Walk.
