The Weekend to be in Punta Gorda --Banjos, Wine, Jazz and More -- Here's What's on Friday and Saturday

This is a weekend to be in Punta Gorda. Hope you have your ticket for one of Punta Gorda's premier events -- the  Punta Gorda Wine and Jazz Festival Saturday at Laishley Park from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Check with the Chamber now if you don't have a ticket and want to attend.   Also headlining this weekend is the Banjo Bash at the Event Center with some of the best banjo players in the country strumming their stuff both Friday and Saturday. (See tastings of these performers at Fishville Friday and Saturday noon to 2 p.m.)  Also on Saturday starting at 1 p.m., the Celtic Ray will be celebrating their anniversary with a fundraiser starting at 1 featuring the Celtic Clan.

At Fishermen's Village Center Stage: Father/Daughter Duo, Magen & Mike, perform 5-9 pm Center Stage 5-9 p.m.

At Jacks: It's Caribbean Night with One Love Duo from 6 to 9:45 p.m.

At Harpoon Harry's  The Crashers with a repertoire ranges from Marvin Gaye to Tony Bennett, Santana to Sinatra, from Rock to Disco, Funk to Country, Motown to Soul, R&B to Salsa…from 9 p.m.

At Deans South of the Border: Gary & Kerri  performing 8-10 p.m.

At Biehl's Slip-Not: Jemm performs from 8 p.m.

At the Punta Elks: Anything Goes  for listening and dancing will be there tonight.
At the Celtic Ray: The Celtic Clan plays from 7 p.m.
