ArtSensation a Sensational Display of the Arts in Charlotte County

ArtSensation, the annual celebration of the arts of Charlotte County wowed today at the Event Center in Punta Gorda.   From live pottery throwing displays, to live musical and dance performances, to art contests, and mural making and more the show presented a panoramic representation of our local artistic community .  It enabled residents and visitors to view in a short time the wonders that local artists are creating.  While we were there a live jazz group was performing, and in less then 20 minutes or so, we were able to wander around and see art demonstrations, talk to folks from the Punta Gorda History Society, Charlotte Chorale, Military Museum, Team Punta Gorda, Visual Arts Center, buy some beautiful pieces of pottery and more.  If only this event ran another day, so that even more locals and visitors could partake of  this fabulous annual event.  Thanks Don McCormick, Chair of the Event, and the Arts and Humanities Council of Charlotte County for this truly sensational art event.   Here's a sampling of what we viewed today.

Helen Wrobbel of the Punta Gorda History Center talked to us about their upcoming Roaring 20s Event.

We spoke to Rufus Lazzell regarding the Military Museum.

Here we took a chance on a free ticket to a Charlotte Chorale Concert.
