Slip Not No More
Returned home to sad news, the iconic Slip Not has closed its doors. The sign announcing entertainers for the day or weekend now just proclaims the closure of the longstanding local watering hole.
No more neon sparkling fireworks and palm trees. Funky outdoor bars with pirate paraphernalia no more. Hopefully a new owner will be found and the Slip Not with all its Punta Gorda Florida kitsch will resume very soon. It will be missed.

I am absolutely devastated. I feel like I've just been told my best friend died and I didn't even know she was sick! I feel like I've been punched in the gut. Seriously. I think I'm going to be ill. I'm truly shattered. I just emailed the owner to see if there's anything my connections and I can do. A fundraiser? Something? The Slip-Not can't be dead! It just can't!!!
