Veterans' Fountain to turn Red White and Blue Tonight at Dedication Ceremony

Tonight the newVeterans Fountain which started spouting fumes of water from the pond in front of the gazebo at Kiwanis Veterans Park at Laishley Park last month will be dedicated.

At 7:30 p.m. there will be a dedication ceremony for  the new Fountain of Freedom at the Kiwanis Veterans Park.   The beautiful new fountain was a joint project of Team Punta Gorda, the Punta Gorda Kiwanis, and the Charlotte County Veterans Council. Many City, County and State dignitaries will be present to participate in the ceremony. There will also be patriotic music with Marcille Brown among the singers.

The fountain. which  honors veterans for their service to our country, will glow red, white and blue for the first time as night descends on Punta Gorda at 8:30 p.m.  It will then light up every evening at dusk.
