European Christmas Market in Punta Gorda December 2-4
A European-style Christmas market is coming to Punta Gorda from Dec 2nd - 4th 2010. The market, which will be located at the corner of Marion and Taylor in downtown Punta Gorda, will be open from 4pm-10pm Thursday the 2nd and Friday 3rd of December and from 11a.m. -10 p.m. on Saturday, the 4th.

Winter Wonderland in the History Park in Punta Gorda December 3 - 11
Come December 3 the Punta Gorda History Park will become a "Winter Wonderland." The event sponsored by the Punta Gorda Historical Society will open on Friday, December 3 and continue through the December 11th. Historical buildings will be decorated in holiday themes, and every night music will fill the park with holiday sounds from local musicians and church choirs. Santa Claus will there on the weekends to enhance the festivities. Tickets are available from the History Society, Adults $10, and children under 12, free. Holly Day Tours in Historic Punta Gorda December 3 and 4
Each year the Punta Gorda Garden Club adds their holiday sparkle and glitter to a select number of Punta Gorda homes and gardens in the historic downtown area which are then opened for visiting. This year's event "An Elegant Christmas" will take place on Friday, December 3 and Saturday, December 4. Club members use all natural materials, fresh and dried, to decorate homes in the Historic District and the First United Methodist Church for the holidays. Advance tickets for the Holly Days Tour can be purchased at the Freeman House or the Chamber, or can be picked up on the days of the event at the Church. Tickets are $10 and proceeds from their sale go to the Garden Club's scholarship and community projects fund. For more information call 941-575-6354. Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
The annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in downtown Punta Gorda starts at 6 p.m. on the corner of Marion and Taylor with the first tree lighting around 6.15pm followed by a second tree lighting ceremony starting at 7.30 p.m. on the corner of Olympia and Taylor. Mr & Mrs Claus will be on hand to welcome in the Holiday Season plus choirs and pipers. Snow is forecasted.
Saturday, December 4
Annual Christmas Parade
The annual Christmas Parade in Punta Gorda presented by the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce will start at noon Saturday at Charlotte High School on Cooper St. and proceed down Taylor Road into the downtown area. This year's theme is "All I Want for Christmas." Floats, decorated and old-time cars and trucks, marching bands and more will be featured in the 34th annual spectacle.
Punta Gorda Kiwanis Christmas Card Lane
Punta Gorda’s Christmas Card Lane will magically appear along the path in Gilchrist Park on Saturday December 4 at around noon. The spectacular display of giant-sized Holiday Greeting Card, sponsored by the local Kiwanis Club will be there, for all to see by car or on foot. Read more »

Saturday Night, the 21st Annual Parade launches around 6pm. The parade is expended to attract hundreds from all over Southwest Florida. Read more »
