The Mummies came to Punta Gorda last night and throngs came as well cheering, screaming, dancing and jumping to their high-energy funk.
Here Come the Mummies is a Funk/R&B band, best known for their live performances in which band members perform in full mummy attire. It consists of various professional musicians based in Nashville, Tennessee. It is rumored that several Grammy award winners are among the members, although it is difficult to verify this , since the band members are kept "under wraps" so to speak. It is said that the various muscians are under contract to various record labels. Hiding their identities prevents contract disputes while performing.
