Fully Connecting Punta Gorda through Walking and Bicycle Paths Moves Closer
The dream of what Punta Gorda could look like and be as envisioned after Charley moves another step closer to reality. Construction of the the Shreve Street MURT pedestrian/bicycling trail between Virginia and US 41 will start June 13 at Airport Rd. This section of the trail will link to the Linear Park at Virginia providing connectivity between the Harborwalk, Linear Park and MURT sections by early-mid 2012.
