Punta Gorda's First Lighted Boat Parade of the Christmas Season
Punta Gorda celebrates the holiday season each year in the tropical tradition of floating parades of boats decked with lights and Christmas decorations manned by Captains and Mates dressed as Santas, elfs or least wearing their red or green attire of some sort. The first of the parades embarqued last night in one of the largest basins in Burnt Store Isles and drifted around the neighborhood of backyard canals in earliest of this year's traditional lighted boat parades.
