Hurricane Charley's Scheduled to Open Soon at the Old Benedettos on the Harbor
One of best spots on the Harbor prior to its closing was Benedettos Tiki Bar, so it was good news to learn that Restaurant owners Dean and Sandy Stainton (of Dean's South of the Border, and North of the Border) have announced plans to open a new seafood restaurant and Tiki Bar, Hurricane Charley’s Raw Bar & Grill, sometime after the first of the year.
The restaurant, which will feature a Tiki Bar (the best feature of the old Benedettos) is located at the Punta Gorda Waterfront Hotel near the corner of U.S. 41 and East Retta Esplanade off the 41 Bridge going south right on the harbor.
The spot will feature nightly entertainment. Yeah!
