Spring Slides Gently into Summer - Punta Gorda at its Best

As Spring slides gently into Summer,  more light holds the passage to night open a little longer each day. The late afternoon cycle of purplish clouds bring more compelling sunsets often with brilliant color more often with majestic mountains of puffy white, blue and purple interrupted by bursts of intense yellow and pink light.

The pathway by the river is hushed now, absent the tourists and chittering of snowbirds.   May winds cool the late afternoon, evening air making walking by the harbor pleasant enough except for the swashes of hair continually blowing around one's face.  Some days soft translucent rains moisen the dry breezes.

It's Punta Gorda at its best.   Soon the African dust will come, reddening the evening skies, but for now are skies are bluer than blue.
