We met Kerri Kaminski years ago when she was our favorite bartender at our favorite bar at the time -- the Perfect Caper. Many of you know Kerri from her years at Outback in Port Charlotte and her smile behind the bar at the Perfect Caper. For the last three years Kerri has worked with Opici Wines as a representative for the Venice to Punta Gorda market and she is loved by all of her restaurant and liquor store customers. She is a mother and role model to Dalton (20) and Austin (16). When not peddling wine, being a Mom and a good daughter to her Mom or working out, Kerri is spending time with boyfriend Todd -- you know Todd Katz of the wonderful signs at Calusa Bank on 41. Kerri is also know for being a fitness phenomenon with for her 3 hour workouts and doing lunges the entire length of the bridge!
Sadly, Kerri learned on Christmas Day that she has Stage IV colon cancer. Never one to back down from a challenge, she is eager to start her treatment and brag about beating it. In order for Kerri to provide for herself and her sons, she needs our help. Tonight during Gallery Walk, the Punta Gorda Business Community will have containers for donations placed in their stores. We encourage everyone who will enjoy walking around our beautiful city browsing/buying to stop into these merchant’s stores to make a donation.

On Saturday, January 24th, festivities start at 8:00am, stop by the Tiki Bar at Four Points by Sheraton, they will have mimosas and a Bloody Mary Bar open; drinks are $4.25 with $1 on each drink donated back to Kerri. At 8:00am – 9:00am Tee shirts and buttons will be available for sale. At 9:00am, a Walk/Run over the bridge. 10:00am music by Happy Feet DJ Services; 10:30am there will be a silent auction, “tricky tray” raffle; 50/50 raffle. There is also a special Live auction item – 5 nights and 6 days stay at Bravos de Boston Estate (Puerto Rico) valued at $4,000) and at 11:00am a BBQ by Four Points by Sheraton.
