This Saturday you will have a chance to sample from the menus of Punta Gorda eateries at the Annual Taste of Punta Gorda from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Laishley Park.
In addition to an array of goodies, there will be music through the day... with emcee, the GOLDEN HIPPO (Jeff Collins).
Restaurants and caterers that will be serving up samples of their fare include Tapas One, Jack's, River City Grill, Manatee's Pizza, Peace River Seafood, Working Cow Ice Cream, Nino's Italian Bakery, The Ice House, Chicago D's, The Celtic Ray, Smugglers Restaurants, Scottie's Dawg House, Sugar Island Cupcakes, Sweet Temptations, Roy's Kettle Korn, Big John's Barbecue and Ribs and the Big Lemon.
Beer, wine, sodas and water will be available at the Rotary booth. There will also be an array of crafters and a host of non-profits who will showcase what they do for our community.
Representatives from different water sports will be on hand along with fishing guides. Max Marine will have two boats on display;Charlotte R V will have a motor home on site; there will be ATV's from Charlotte Motor Sports and scoters from arbor scooters. The Tampa Bay Rays will have items for the kids and there will be a game area for children. John Heck of the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office will lead a K 9 Demonstration.
Team Punta Gorda, Main Street Punta Gorda, Isles Yacht Club, Punta Gorda Historical Society, Peace River Wildlife Rehab Center,The Gifted Gator Gift Shoppe, Charlotte Harbor Aquatic Park/Preserve, Animal Welfare League, Octagon Nature Preserve will have booths.
Crafters include jewelry designers, craft instructors doing mini classes and a plein air painter there for the day.
You can bring your lawn chair or blanket and spend the day. No coolers.
