Punta Gorda Goes Green -- Your St. Patrick's Day Weekend


It's St. Paddy's in Punta Gorda this weekend and it's sure to be green everywhere.  Here are some thoughts on some places for your Irish tour of watering holes and more this weekend:  

Tonight: 

At Fishermen's Village Center Stage:  Reconnections Band performs from 5-9 p.m.
At the Captain's Table:  For a softer sound:  Maurey Dewey (Pianist/Vocalist)
At Harpoon Harry's  Smack Daddy from 9 p.m. 
At Biehl's Slip Not  Tropical Ave from 8 p.m. 
At Dean's South of the Border: Jemm from 9 p.m.
At the Punta Gorda Elks:  Heart and Soul
At Jacks Zombie University
At the Ice House: Battle of the Bands from 6 p.m. (St Pat's Celebration)
At the Celtic Ray: Comedy 
At River City Grill Denny Pezzin (Elvis to Garth) 8 to 11 p.m.

Saturday ,  March 17  From Noon

St. Patrick Celebrations and more

At Fishermen's Village Center Stage: St. Patrick's Celebration.   Live entertainment with Emily Ann Thompson, Celtic Fiddler, 12 Noon-2 pm, Celtic Beat Irish Dancers, 1:30 pm, Lee County Pipes & Drums 5 pm, Marcille Wallis & Friends performing traditional Irish and Celtic tunes, Irish Dancers 5-9 pm. Restaurant food specials throughout the day! Free admission, free parking.

At Laishley Crab House: At the Courtyard: The Sham ”Rock” St. Patty’s Day Party and free concert from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Celtic Mayhem at 3 p.m., Tayzer at 7:30 p.m. Irish food and beverages.
 
At the Celtic Ray St Patrick's Day Party from noon, featuring Emily Ann Thompson, Flurgin, PMC

At the Ice House: St Pat's Celebration Battle of the Bands from 1 p.m.

At the Tavern at River City Grill: Irish Day celebration with music starting at 5 p.m. (bar opens at noon)
