The Beat Goes On -- Your Punta Gorda Weekend Off-the Season


Things are a bit slower and less crowded in Punta Gorda giving year round residents an opportunity to explore the town at a home town kind of pace.  The beat goes on despite diminished crowds.  Here's some weekend night choices where you might enjoy the benefits of a seasonal community in the off-season.   Great weekend, for instance, to catch Zombie University at Fishville, Irish band from Cork, Fire in the Kitchen, at the Ray, and the Crashers at the Slip Not among others.  


Friday, June 1
At Fishermen's Village Center Stage:  Paul Cottrell performs  from 5-9 p.m.
