Bringing in New Year's and New Year's Weekend in Punta Gorda -- Quick Rundown on Goings-On

This weekend bring in the New Year's and enjoy New Year's day in Punta Gorda.  Here is a quick look at what is going on in town.

New Year's Eve

At Harpoon Harry's .. a great New Year's double header with local bands Slick Willy and the Boogiemen starting at 9.  Party favors, campagne toast. ($25 cover per couple)

At Jacks and 111  New Year's Bash with  DJ Scoops from Groove  Symphony mixing the beats up from 10pm-2am.  There is a $5 cover but that includes a free glass of champagne at midnight.   New York Times Square Ball Drop on the big screen projector outside on the wall facing Jacks, and inside of 111.

At Fishermen's Village.. Family activities, then live music with local singer-songwriter, Michael Hirst and Soul Machine.  Special menus at the various restaurants on the pier.  

At Dean's.. Ring in the New Year's with Those Guys.  

At Biehl's Slip Not... Party with DJ John from 8 p.m. 

At Alligator Park on Taylor Road... Dance with Reconnections Band from 8 p.m.... favors, appetizers, $15 person. All 941-575-7080 for more information.  

At the Punta Gorda Elks... New Year's Party with the Sour Notes. (Elks Members)

At Charlotte Harbor Events Center.. Larry Diamond's Variety show from 6:30 p.m. Wine and cheese, dinner and show for $50.  

New Year's Day Evening

At Fishermen's Village  Live music with Michael Hirst from 9 Center Stage.  

At Harpoon Harry's, the Boogiemen play from 9 p.m.

At Biehl's Slip Not, Tight Squeeze goes on at 8 p.m.
